Even though I didn't manage to finish making my character by the end of the module. I think that I've learned a lot more from making the few mistakes and changes along the way.
These little set backs has helped me to realise that planning ahead for mistakes that could happen will help my workflow and I can also get the materials ready just incase a problem happens.
Overall I've enjoyed extending the stop motion module because I have been able to practice some of the demonstrations from that module myself and realise how difficult it is to get right.
It has made me rethink some of the models for future projects I was thinking about, especially the head shapes.
I'm glad that I went down the silicone head replacement route, as I don't think I would have been able to make of the facial replacements in Maya in time. This is something that I would like to look into in the future as it is being used more often in stop motion films.
Now that I have tested the silicone with my mould, I will continue to update this blog with the progress of my character.
